Liberal news networks have avoided coverage of the Arctic Frost story, a significant development involving federal law enforcement actions against conservative figures and entities. Recent analysis by media watchdogs reveals that major broadcast networks such as ABC, CBS, and NBC have neglected to address the controversy, despite its potential implications for political accountability.
The Arctic Frost operation, linked to the Biden administration’s FBI, allegedly involved requests for private cellphone records from at least nine Republican lawmakers. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) released documents on October 6 detailing these efforts, which some argue constitute a targeted campaign against conservative opponents. Additional records disclosed by Grassley show that special counsel Jack Smith’s team issued subpoenas to over 400 individuals and entities perceived as supporting former President Donald Trump.
NewsBusters analyst Jorge Bonilla highlighted the absence of discussion about these revelations on liberal media platforms. “There was no mention of the secretive nature of the subpoenas, the gag orders imposed on banks and Big Tech organizations, or the potential impeachable offenses tied to these actions,” he wrote. The analysis noted that networks like ABC, CBS, and NBC failed to cover the story even during weekend programming, focusing instead on trivial topics such as White House renovations and weather forecasts.
David Bozell of the Media Research Center emphasized the unprecedented silence, stating, “Not one single broadcast network aired one solitary second” of coverage. Blaze News confirmed that, aside from a limited NBC article about Jack Smith, major liberal outlets omitted the Arctic Frost allegations entirely.
