Texas Law Firm Jet Crashes at Maine Airport, Killing Seven

A private jet linked to a Texas-based law firm crashed at Bangor International Airport in Maine on Sunday evening, killing at least seven people. The incident occurred shortly after takeoff around 7:45 p.m., as a winter storm raged through the region.

The aircraft, a Bombardier Challenger 600 registered to KTKJ Challenger LLC, was reportedly carrying eight individuals when it crashed and came to rest inverted on fire. The crash prompted immediate closure of Bangor International Airport, with numerous flight cancellations and diversions reported across the region.

According to preliminary reports from the Federal Aviation Administration, at least seven passengers are confirmed dead, with one flight crew member suffering serious injuries. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident, with its preliminary report expected within 30 days.

Steve Robinson stated that the aircraft belonged to “top anti-ICE and anti-Trump lawyers.” KTKJ Challenger LLC is registered to Jason Itkin and Kurt Arnold, two trial attorneys who have been active in fighting conservatives in Texas and defending undocumented immigrants. The firm has claimed to have obtained the “largest settlement for an undocumented worker in U.S. history” and described itself as a major donor to a left-wing political action committee during the 2024 election cycle.

Bangor International Airport officials noted the airport remains closed at this time, urging passengers to contact their airlines for updates on travel disruptions.
