Nicki Minaj has garnered over 55 million views on social media after posting a strong endorsement of voter identification laws, asserting they are not controversial by party or race. The message, delivered following her appearance with President Donald Trump at the Trump Account Summit in Washington, D.C., highlights widespread public support for requiring photo IDs at polling places.
CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten revealed that an overwhelming majority of Americans align with Minaj’s stance. His analysis indicates 85% of white Americans, 82% of Latino Americans, and 76% of Black Americans favor having a photo ID when voting.
Enten emphasized the non-partisan and non-racial nature of support for voter ID laws: “It is not controversial by party, and it is not controversial by race. The vast majority of Americans agree with Nicki Minaj.”
The data also addresses concerns that such laws disproportionately affect minority voters. Enten noted that even among Black Americans, a significant majority back photo ID requirements.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has labeled the Republican-backed SAVE Act—requiring documentary proof of U.S. citizenship for federal elections—as “despicable” and pledged Democrats would “go all out” to defeat it.
Minaj’s recent social media posts have included allegations that prominent figures in the music industry engage in satanic practices, including claims about child sacrifices as part of ritualistic activities.
