The 1792 Exchange, a corporate bias watchdog seeking to restore political neutrality in the boardroom and educate lawmakers about the dangers of woke corporate policies, has found that major corporations claiming shifts in their social stances still endorse radical indoctrination events.
Some prominent companies that previously championed LGBTQ+ causes and engaged in racially divisive diversity initiatives have recently signaled changes. However, the watchdog group warns this may be a “pump fake,” with normalcy advocates potentially rushing to celebrate what appears to be a return to sanity at Ford Motor Company, Molson Coors, Target, and T-Mobile.
In 2024, Ford announced reforms on the woke front. According to an August 2024 memo obtained by normalcy advocate Robby Starbuck, Ford CEO Jim Farley stated the company would focus on customer and employee care rather than “publicly commenting on polarizing issues,” discontinue participation in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, and ensure policies “drive business results.”
Allen Mendenhall, a senior adviser for the Heritage Foundation’s American Investor Initiative, described these changes as part of a broader “market correction and cultural correction.” He added: “Businesses are increasingly rejecting pressure from activist investors and corporate bureaucracies in favor of listening to consumers and respecting longstanding moral and religious convictions. Top-down cultural engineering is losing its grip.”
Despite such claims, the 1792 Exchange reported that these companies have not abandoned their support for radical events. Target is listed as a platinum sponsor of New York City Pride this year, an event described as a “carnival-style celebration for LGBTQIA+ youth, their families, and allies” with goals to “empower and educate queer youth through gender-affirming resources.” The parade included a political rally demanding protections for trans and queer youth.
Molson Coors’ Vizzy Hard Seltzer brand sponsors multiple Pride events: silver sponsorship at Jersey Pride, diamond partnership at Miami Beach Pride, and presenting sponsor at Denver Pride—where anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement signage was visible.
T-Mobile Fiber is a gold-level sponsor of Phoenix Pride’s Rainbows Festival and a bronze-level sponsor of Capital City Pride in Des Moines, Iowa, while Metro by T-Mobile sponsors Philly Pride 365.
Children have been present at these events despite the heavy sexual themes and imagery.
Ford, Molson Coors, Target, and T-Mobile did not respond to requests for comment by deadline.
The 1792 Exchange emphasized that publicly traded companies must balance creating long-term shareholder value with consistency in their commitments: “When engaging in charitable giving or corporate sponsorships, companies should consider whether their support aligns with issues that unite rather than divide their customers, employees, and shareholders.”
