Jelly Roll Breaks Down in Tears After Craig Morgan Invites Him to Grand Ole Opry

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” host Joe Rogan surprised country music star Jelly Roll with a video invitation from Craig Morgan to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

During the podcast, Rogan played a recorded message from Morgan stating: “Jelly Roll, you’re officially invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry.” The invitation included Morgan’s phrase: “God will make things bigger than your dreams.”

Jelly Roll reacted emotionally, removing his headphones and placing his head in his hands as tears streamed down his face. He later requested a hug from Rogan, which they shared before moving to discuss Jelly Roll’s journey.

The singer recalled purchasing tickets to watch Morgan perform at the Opry and being deeply moved by the artist’s song “Almost Home.” He described it as “the most tear-jerking song about a homeless man” that reminded him of jail.

“I just remember thinking … ‘I want to make people feel the way he makes me feel,’” Jelly Roll told Rogan.

Jelly Roll shared that he had always dreamed of appearing on the podcast, and while he felt honored to be a guest, calling Rogan a friend was “an even greater honor.” During his emotional reflection, he recounted past struggles: “I just never thought this was a journey, dude. I thought I’d die young, or I thought I’d kill myself.”

Rogan responded with the line: “Amazing things can happen if you live your life true.”

Jelly Roll concluded by repeating Morgan’s words: “God will make things bigger than your dreams. Somebody out there right now is dreaming of something, and it’s too small. Dream bigger, baby.”
