Chicago Teen Faces Murder Charges After Shoving Man Off Moving Train

A 15-year-old girl has been charged with felony murder and aggravated battery after allegedly shoving a 29-year-old man off a moving Chicago Transit Authority train, killing him. The incident occurred last Monday near 69th Street on the Dan Ryan Expressway, where police reported three individuals pushed Kyle Bickham onto the third rail before he was struck by another train.

The girl appeared in court this week and was ordered to remain in custody until her next hearing in October following a judge’s finding of probable cause for all counts, including first-degree murder, mob action, murder by other forcible felony, and aggravated battery to a transit employee. Authorities arrested her on Friday, four days after the attack.

Christopher Bickham Jr., the victim’s brother, said: “Y’all took a part of me that I can’t get back. Like, just turn y’all selves in.” Christopher Bickham Sr., the victim’s father, added: “I wish this pain on no one. No one else. I wish that no one else has to go through this. Fix the trains. Whatever’s happening with the trains, it shouldn’t have been that easy.”
