President Donald Trump declared far-left socialists representing the most severe threat to American values, accusing Democratic Party candidates of embracing communist ideology that seeks to destroy traditional American life.
In a speech at the Faith and Freedom Coalition policy conference in Washington, D.C., Trump condemned recent election results in New York City where progressive candidates defeated centrist Democrats. “They’re not social Democrats,” he stated. “They want to completely destroy the traditional American way of life.”
The president characterized the shift as a dangerous movement driven by “hard core, godless Communists” who pose the gravest challenge to U.S. foundations since America’s founding 250 years ago. “These are animals—sometimes not smart, but in some cases, they’re smart,” Trump said, adding that many elected officials “hate our country” and “hate our people.”
He further asserted that Democrats have abandoned their historical commitment to Christianity and American ideals, stating, “They’re after Christianity more than any other religion. It seems to be more and more throughout the world.” Trump credited his presidency for strengthening national unity, declaring, “The United States has never been stronger. We have never been wealthier. We’ve never been prouder to be an American.”
The president concluded by affirming that America’s legacy remains one of “freedom, overcoming oppression, good defeating evil,” and pledged continued resilience under divine guidance as the nation faces what he described as a critical ideological battle.
